THE INNER EYE, RECEPTIVE TO CLEAR THOUGHT, DISTRIBUTES ENERGY IN AN INTELLIGENT DIRECTION.
We all know – if only on the periphery of our consciousness – that energy is fluid and ever in motion; we live in a veritable sea of moving forces, modified in countless ways, orchestrated by countless minds and feelings, frequently misdirected and sometimes intelligently directed. This is the nature of the world in which we presently live, move, and have our being.
As human beings we are empowered by a wide variety of energies that play out on the physical, emotional and mental planes of our being, generating at each moment the necessary forces that are required for daily living. Very few of us, if any, are free from the continuous effects of these energies, though there are those among us who have learnt through experience to harness them more effectively. For the most part, we are unaware of the relentless movement of energy that plays on our psyche and the domino effects they have on our relationships with others; as a result we find ourselves behaving frequently in ways that we would prefer not to, but due to ignorance are unable to do otherwise. Are we in control of the energies at our disposal, and are we able to use them with focussed intent? Perhaps we are more like beautiful little butterflies flittering from here to there, moving about blindly in whichever direction the wind blows? Can we direct energy in an intelligent and creative way? This is the question.
It is said that energy is neither good nor evil. It is what it is – pure and functional power, and what makes it good or evil is the intention motivating it. At every moment we are transforming energy into all kinds of forces for our purposes: we use it as a force for love or sentimentality, service or selfishness, intelligence or stupidity. Are we aware in our daily living of our use of energy as we create one force after another, and of the effects we have on others and on ourselves? We take most things in life for granted, and in the melee of daily activity, we bombard and are bombarded by the countless forces generated by our collective use of energy in the three worlds.
If we consider for a moment the realm of cyberspace, we may be able to visualise in the mind’s eye, the interminable flow of energy moving at incredible speed from one point in space to another. Millions of us on the planet every day engage the consciousness within the realm of cyberspace through the internet, the telephone and television. Forces of all descriptions are being generated constantly through cyberspace from one corner of the globe to the other through these marvellous instruments. We cannot see these forces with the physical eyes as they travel, but they move nonetheless in their particular directions under a specific intent at the speed of light! If we could look into this level of space I wonder what we’d see! Would each intent that is typed on a keyboard or spoken through a telephone receiver have its own particular colour, sound or abstract shape? We are creating forces in space all day long which have an overall effect on the collective psyche and on the planet at large. Do we give any thought or concern to the quality of force we project into the atmosphere in our daily rounds?
The emotional and mental worlds in which we are daily immersed are also filled with a veritable sea of forces. The energies upon these planes are used by humanity to create many forms of feelings and thoughts. Some of these creations may be useful to the collective whole but there are many others that are generated from ancient habit and are quite destructive. In our daily contacts we are frequently and inadvertently influenced by the qualities generated by these substances; the thousand and one ideas and beliefs that float about in the illusive mental world, and the passions and glamours of the emotional, are picked up by us habitually and used in a mechanical way without us even realising what is happening. And yet, with all this said and perhaps sensed, we continue to elude ourselves into thinking and believing that we are in control and are masters of our lives.
Here’s a thought to consider: Do we really conduct our lives as we would like to, or are we really like puppets, played upon by the ubiquitous forces of the subtler worlds?
Once we wake up to the actual situation that we are in, we begin to observe more accurately the forces that influence our minds, our feelings and our general state of health. With a growing awareness of the reality behind the scenes, we become more alert to the forces that manipulate us, and so learn to discriminate between those energies that stimulate our will-to-good, and those which bend and weaken our will to do bad. In this way we come to understand ourselves better and to also recognise the actions of our fellow human beings better. With practice and wakefulness, discernment comes to us and the knowledge of how to direct energy in a more useful way for our own benefit and for the greater good.

THE INNER EYE, OPENED BY CLEAR THOUGHT, DIRECTS ENERGY IN A CONSCIOUS DIRECTION.

This is so true and also points directly at the responsibility inherent in speech, for when thoughts become words, that potency starts to manifest materially into the everyday world.
