THE PSYCHE

Each individual has an apparent psyche and lives within the parameters of his own self-created imagery. The individual psyche is not a reality. In truth, it exists as a figment of the imagination held temporarily within the one vast and limitless Psyche. The true Psyche is more akin to space: vast and without boundaries it is ever-present; unified and far-reaching it changes not in reality, but only appears to do so as it becomes circumscribed by the little individual psyche fabricated within it.

The true Psyche is clearly reflected in the pure mind of a young child, deep and uncluttered before it becomes identified with the illusive psychic clutter collected as memory over the years, and over many lives of experience. The true Psyche is also reflected in the clear and pure mind of the truly wise man/woman who has found the avenue of escape from the relentless pull of psychic debris. As the young child lives and comes into contact with other psyches (the many individual figments of imagination), so the true Psyche that it once reflected becomes apparently clouded by the chosen identifications from the vast range of psychic objects. In this way the young child is slowly duped, and in time, ceases to remember the enormous freedom and purity of the true Psyche in which it actually lives.

As individual psyches form group identifications with similar psyches, say as a religious group, a political group, a philosophical group, a gay rights group, a corporate group or humanitarian group, or whatever group name which identifies similar figments of the imagination, so they gather together on the mental plane, arrayed as psychic groups of varying belief systems, united under a common identification, each group believing their psychic point of view to be true, and forgetting, in their impassioned identification, the absolute freedom and limitless expanse of the true Psyche which ever exists as the backdrop of all human activity.

The ongoing play of events in the physical world ever reflects the state or condition of the group psyches in the mental world. As we now stand within the physical and mental planes, both as individuals and as a collective human race, we are unable to see clearly the proverbial forest for the trees, until such time as we are able to lift the eyes away from the trees in order to see the forest from a detached and heightened point of view: that of the true psyche.

Man is a psychic entity, a Life Who, through radiatory influence, has built a form, coloured it with His own psychic quality and thus presented an appearance to the environing world which will persist for as long a time as he lives in that form, and for as long as he holds to psychic debris

As we clear away the psychic clutter from the mind, so will we embrace again as we once did as children, the depth, freedom, and illimitable expanse of the true Psyche, but with one major difference: we will experience it consciously, know it, and acknowledge it truly for what it is: Freedom.
