Light, indeed,
Is Raja Yoga.
It strips the mind
Of what is untrue –
Clarifying, purifying,
It seeks to know
The Life above
Which differs so
From that below.
Re-directed,
mind beholds
The lost forgotten;
Embracing, it kindles,
That Which Is
As It Is,
and has always been.
Strange at first
Yet soon dispersed
As heat burns
The hearth below.
Fire, surely,
Is Agni Yoga.
It strips the heart
Of what is unreal –
Burning, dissolving,
It knows not two.
Fire electric
Quickens spirit
As Life above
And life below
Align in One
As never before.
