There is a differentiation between love, widely perceived as sentiment, and the vibratory influence of true love as it can affect the entire bodily organism. This love that quickens the sensitivity of the entire organism exists at a higher octave than the passion that ignites the lesser vehicles of the persona. It is a force whose vibratory quality animates the web of energies comprising the etheric body (the pranamaya kosha). When the Force of Love courses through the golden web of the etheric vehicle its effect is to raise the frequency of the whole web. It is a force that words cannot fully describe. Perhaps one knows of what is said.
Beauty has a similar effect on the sensitive soul, as it ignites the fire of true love. The impact of Beauty on those who are deeply struck by it is to arouse the aspiration to know its Source. They recognize the footprints of the Source in the deliverance to humanity of those expressions of true love that are made manifest in genuine beauty. In actuality, beauty is a ‘way-station’ on the path to the direct experience of true love. So great is its power that few individuals are able to contain the purity of its energy without distorting it into established personality patterns that reflect idealized, romantic love.
This lesser form of love, which brings enormous pleasure to those fortunate enough to experience it, generally endures for a brief moment in time before it is ravaged by the incessant demands of the persona for more. Peak moments of personal love can be likened to fireworks displays on a balmy summer’s night. As soon as they end and the dark sky reappears, the three-fold personality craves more and more. This love, deriving largely from glamours and illusions, cannot endure longer than chimerical perceptions of the beloved.
The higher form of love toward which your attention is drawn belongs to the soul on its own plane. It enters the world of form when soul contact is established and grows into a radiant force—at the point where the soul infuses the outer vehicle. If you have ever been in the presence of a highly evolved being you will know the immensity of his/her radiatory field. Such a being is ‘powered’ internally as if by a hundred suns, without need of love from other human beings.
In describing love as a force it is the most powerful force in the solar system and the universe. Here is why. Everything in manifestation is searching for its beloved—from the smallest animal or child awaiting the warmth of its mother to a galaxy gravitating toward its counterpart in the Heavens. All entities in manifest form seek to merge and fuse with another, as each in its own way is impelled by the Law of Attraction to embody the reality of synthesis.
Advanced human beings learning to live as souls come to realize in time the illusion of ‘otherness’. Their quest then becomes one of consciously demonstrating this recognition on the plane of ‘etheric living’. On this subtler plane, the energy of Love emitted from Higher levels, will flow more freely into human lives via the network of chakras (on etheric levels) that form the vehicle of the Soul in incarnation. The heart chakra, the center of this network, will be exposed to the Higher energies and will attract to itself all within the human kingdom who pulsate in resonance with the frequencies of love.
Consider, if you will, the power of the Sun to unfold the petals of a flower in a mere few days after its arising from the soil. Imagine how it will be . . . to experience true Love pouring into your heart chakra, and you will sense the meaning of Love perhaps for the first time. This is love that binds the scattered fragments of the little self into a Self made whole and which becomes, in Its turn, a healing force.
