It is said that the original purpose of the astral plane was to provide a place to go, a place to travel when we leave the black hole of our self-concern and our desires and begin to look for something more satisfying. There is a hunger within us that needs to be satisfied. We are searching for an answer which is not to be found on the dense physical plane.

“It isn’t until you begin to travel the path through the astral plane that you begin to shine light on your own wants and desires. Do so without judgment. Acknowledge the wants and desires you might want to save and those that have to go. This is your decision. This is your spiritual journey. Do not be hard on yourself. You might regret some of the things that you desired and wanted. Then deal with them from your heart with your soul with intelligence to balance what you would like to balance. That is part of aspiration.
The astral plane is a place where you can move forward toward higher dimensions, toward living in more light for firmer contact with your soul. The astral plane is what will get you there. Know that traveling the astral plane is just like traveling a segment of the pathway between where you are and the grocery store, between where you are and the place where you work. It is simply a pathway, a segment of the path of expanded spiritual awareness.
The next question you ask is, “Where does that spiritual awareness path lead? What do we who travel it want to do with that pathway?” The answer is that you want to turn that pathway into a bridge. Or a tunnel.
The astral frequencies directly interface with the mental frequencies, the same frequencies that make you change the oil in the car, that make you call your mother, that guide the way you conduct yourself in your work or school environment. All of this. The reality is that these mental frequencies border the astral frequencies. The boundary is like a mountain range against the sky, up and down and up and down.
What the astral plane will give you as you travel is a bridge or a tunnel that takes you through these mental frequencies to yet higher, intuitional frequencies. The idea of a tunnel is good because what is at the other end of that tunnel that goes through the mental frequencies is the light of the cosmic love of the intuitional plane, also known as the buddhic plane. All those intuitive events, the intuitions that can often guide you as nothing more than gut feelings reaching you through the tunnel, cannot be mentally, logically justified.
Intuition is not an emotion. It is the light and wisdom of a higher frequency love coming through to guide personal decisions that are then implemented by your mind. The astral plane gets you to the point where you can open a pathway to the intuitive, to the cosmic love that exists on the intuitive plane, the love that is all penetrating, the love in light, the love that becomes pure logic. Logic is not mental at its highest elevation. Logic is love which exists in the frequency of the Intuitive plane. So when the astral plane and all its wants and desires no longer influence you and your decisions, they vanish.
The astral is just a place for your consciousness to travel through. It is where you now get your inspiration for the decisions you make. On the path of ascent, the decisions that the mind implements will come not from the wants of the astral frequencies but more and more from the light and love and wisdom that exist in the intuitional frequencies. It is in those frequencies where your decisions become centered and can more easily be guided by your soul. That is where enlightened Beings have an easier time reaching you. So it is the light from the intuitive plane of love and wisdom where you seek to “live” and that light will begin to govern your decisions.
But you are not going to get there if you stay focused in your mental frequencies, if you stay in your mind. You must travel through your astral frequencies, through the personal wants and desires that you turn into aspiration. And as you develop an aspiration that is healthy, light-seeking and service oriented, light begins to influence your decisions, a light that goes out from your heart and into the world.
That light comes from a spontaneous connection between aspiration and higher astral frequencies and the Buddhic/Intuitive plane, where light and love and wisdom live. Then your decision-making process becomes focused. Your mind will respond more to those higher frequencies than it does to the lower wants and desires, because it is your mental frequencies that implement whatever decision you make.”

We are blessed in this 21st century as we begin to understand our constructs and thoughtforms and how they got there. We give heartfelt thanks to enlightened Beings within our Planetary Life for the depth of knowledge and wisdom extended to us over the ages, and particularly over the last century.
