From a Wise One . . .
🦩
“Have you ever felt that you needed to break free from all that you are used to? Explore new paths and go on a new adventure to places unknown, where people speak a language you don’t speak, where discovering a new culture makes you dizzy and the air is filled with foreign scents? Wanderlust, as some call it, well describes the excitement that comes with traveling to new, exotic places.
Many are on the search for a deeper meaning in life these days, many are waking up to the fact that there is a lot more than meets the eye. There is a wealth of information out there, a lot of literature, and a lot of people teaching a wide range of spiritual topics. That said, it can be quite confusing to embark on a spiritual journey. It is like sifting through a sandpit on a beach to find a lost ring. You may find someone else’s jewellery or some other discarded trash. There might be bones, there might be treasures. If one weren’t so distracted by the worry of finding the lost ring, one might enjoy the search with all the little surprises that surface.
This is very much like the journey on a spiritual path. We never know what it will bring. Meeting a lot of new, wonderful and wise people on the way is guaranteed. But it is important to develop a good sense of intuition, for there will certainly be some who are not so valuable to one’s own growth, and even some who might turn out to be a hindrance on the path. So it is wise to pay attention. There will be detours and distractions, but it never gets boring. It is good to turn inward on these walks, for the biggest surprises lie within.
Getting to know oneself as part of the big plan, as a member of the spiritual community and as a vital part of higher consciousness is certainly one of the most exciting and rewarding adventures out there, especially when “it all begins to make sense,” and particularly when one finds the soul group one belongs to.
Around each and every corner there will be new revelations and beautiful gifts to pick up from the road side for those who care and can recognize them. As you fill your backpack with wisdom, skills and energies acquired on the path, with love and friendship exchanged with others on the journey, with joy and cheerful memories as well as “lessons learned” memories, you come to realize that life without the spiritual growth that you are gaining would be quite meaningless by comparison.
When you empty out your backpack at the end of the journey (or in between because it got too full) and hand out the contents to friends, family, scholars or anybody that you meet, you will be amazed how much you have to share – how valuable your own experiences have been, how rich they have made you and how much you can give back or pass on to others. The sharing will make these treasures even more valuable, and they will, by and large, be received with open arms.
You are being encouraged today to take the next step toward more adventures on your personal spiritual path. To not stagnate but take a leap forward into the unknown. Join the many brave souls who have done and are doing just that. And don’t forget that we have all done this before, consciously or unconsciously, for our own beautiful souls have already come a long, long way to this point today.”
