Let us search for the green shoots hidden amongst the weeds of bad news and horrible events in the world. We can, individually and in our meditation groups, apply the highest energy possible to these beautiful new shoots sprouting in a confused world. By projecting love and light towards them, we can nurture their growth and protect them from the weeds and underbrush that try to suck the life out of them.

“There are many, many green shoots emerging in the world today. Very often they are hidden beneath the mass of debris that litters the surface, but we must search for them. Each time we come across a piece of good news, an event, a change in the laws or anything that we consider an improvement for the welfare of our human family, we can nurture their growth and expansion with our own light. To increase the light in the world at this dire time is our responsibility.
We can ask ourselves as we face the bad news every day: as a human family, where are we going? Where are we heading?” What can we do to improve the world situation? Change comes by the awakening of the human heart—the divine flame within the heart. Rekindling the love of the soul will change the way we live, the way we understand life around us, the way we interact with each other and with our environment. By discovering the inner flame, we reconnect with our own spirituality.
The problem with our human family is that we are disconnected from what we really are. We have the light of God within us but this essential truth does not get through to most of us. Too many are disconnected from the reality of spirit, of the soul.
The soul knows everything, yet we look no further than our own belly button and are disconnected from our true Self. This disconnection brings all the problems we are facing and it continues because we do so little to reconnect with our true selves. There is so much more we can do and be. World change is in our hands and it begins with each and every one of us.
In the discovery of the soul’s love we wake up and begin to change how we think, how we feel and behave and, like wildfire, it can spread to others who will also begin to wake up and change. Let us find that loving flame and light the way towards a new world. Let us change the way we treat ourselves, our partners, our children, our parents and relatives, neighbors, friends and colleagues, and those we come across in the street everyday. Love is the way forward.
By looking at the world around us with new eyes, new hope, and with the confidence that we are not alone and that others are standing with us, even though we may not see or know them, we will understand better that we are so much more than what we think we are, and so much more effective when we stand together in the light of our souls. For too long, this beautiful light of the human soul has been hidden under the bushel, obscured by the overwhelming growth of weeds in the world. The time to awaken is Now.
