“Every habit reaches a saturation point beyond which one is induced to proceed in a different way.
Even physical instincts and strong emotional feelings can be gradually transmuted towards increasingly refined forms of expression, i.e. involving the activity of the higher chakras located above the diaphragm.
There is a big difference between the natural physical need for the satisfaction of a biological instinct and the obsessive compulsive habits by which human energy is kept locked in the lower chakras connected to the genital organs and solar plexus. These habitual energies rise along the spinal column and find expression in more intense and involving forms of pleasure.”
Meditation and contemplation, however, when practised correctly, promote the ascent and descent of higher energies along the spinal column with their power to purify and enlighten the lower chakras.
