Imagine an enormous maze: a complicated network of pathways designed as a puzzle through which one has to find a way out. See this maze as a ‘Leelaa’—a ‘game’ to be played on the physical plane.
Each time we enter the maze we are pure and clean, knowing only the Voice of the Silence that resounds in the ‘spark of divinity’ that is our true Self, ever connected to the Father, God, the Source by an umbilical cord of life.
Here we are in the maze again. Before us lies the familiar network of pathways and we remember vaguely being in the maze many times before. Instinct now triggers shadow memories of chosen pathways that led to dead-ends, though there were many lessons learned.
We stand and watch, listening to the constant clamour of voices that never stop luring us into the maze to join in the Leelaa. But we are more cautious now, more wary of the voices and of the pathways which led us astray. We begin to pay closer attention in the maze, a sign that the Voice of the Silence has grown stronger through experience. Despite the relentless noise and clatter, we have become Observers and somehow more detached from the subtle pitfalls that lurk in every corner.
We sense that within this complex labyrinth of choices there is one hidden pathway that offers an exit, a pathway to permanent freedom from life in the maze. We begin to understand that to find this one path among so many requires our constant adherence to the Voice of the Silence, for only the Voice of the Father can lead us to the exit.
We watch and wait, mindful of the hour, and soon discover within the maze others who are also at the crossroad, also looking for a way out. It is a joyful moment.
Finally, groups of Observers gather together within the maze, guided primarily by the Voice of Intuition, which will lead us out of the maze and into the presence of Those Who know its intricacies and eagerly await our departure from it. As we gather together in groups, the collective inner eye turns upward and we sense the beauty that lies beyond the maze. . .
