Words from Spiritual Elders
“From Our vantage point, within the broad sweep of the Ashram’s perception, the curtain is now rising on the New World. People of goodwill are increasingly peeling away from the old paradigm and its established rules for living. The soil is becoming more fertile for the great leap in human consciousness that will spawn the New World.
Human beings generally cannot perceive qualities in other people that do not exist within themselves. Take person X and person Y as an illustration. X does not experience envy and thus cannot recognize its symptoms in someone else. Y, a colleague of X, is often unpleasant to X for reasons that escape X and so X searches inside constantly to discover the reason for Y’s behavior, assuming it must have been something he or she said or did, never suspecting the underlying cause.
To recognize soul qualities in another, one must have developed those qualities oneself. Those who have achieved this capacity remain relatively few at this present stage of evolution but in the new world there will be many. There are varied reasons for this, but for now we wish to focus on the fruits of developing the capacity to see into the soul of another and respond to need.
Let us take the example of an obese person. People of normal weight will see the obese person through diverse lenses. Some may see only the form and shun the form for its unhealthy appearance. Others may see the form and feel compassion for the person. Still others will see the form and feel compassion for the soul within that form, while also seeking light on the underlying cause of the suffering evidenced in the physical form. The love of the soul motivates this group to want to free the individual from the stranglehold of that cause.
The disciples of the world who are most useful to the spiritual Hierarchy at this time fall into the third group of human beings. It is a small but vital group whose members form the seedbed of the new civilization. From within this group there emerges the light that attracts the Greater Light of the Hierarchy in service to the transformation of the world.
There are countless groups of light-workers around the globe who are serving the immediate needs of humanity and fostering the consciousness of unity. What makes the third group (above) unique is the willingness of its members to chart a path for human evolution by treading the path of self-transformation. Those who tread this path with transparency, aware of where it is leading, will encounter the dross of the personality that blocks the light of the soul and will endeavor to burn it in the fires of purification.
Those who work on this steadfastly will discover that the inner light intensifies over time. The ones who succeed in removing the dross become conveyors of spiritual light to the world. They are the ones best equipped to look into the eyes of other human beings and see the soul, no matter how distorted the outer form. And seeing the soul, they are motivated to release it from its suffering. This is the true work of salvation. It begins with soul identification, the stage of awareness that endows the disciple with the capacity to relate to the needs of others and be moved to serve them, in whatever ways that proves possible.”

Let this message carry us closer to the goal of becoming a living, thriving, electric-magnetic link in the Great Chain of Being on our planet as we struggle through this transition to the New Era.
