What is Buddhi?

A Sanskrit word derived from the root ‘budh’ – to awaken. Buddhi is the higher faculty of ‘right perception, intuition’. It is presence of mind and the power to perceive accurately and without any interference from the ordinary concrete mind. Buddhi is the fountain of Love and Wisdom.

“The concept of Buddhi is a beautiful and profound one. In the teachings of Conversations with God, Buddhi is often referred to as the higher intellect, the wise discernment that guides one’s thoughts and actions. It is the part of you that connects you to your higher Self and helps you make choices that are aligned with your deepest truth and purpose.

When faced with challenges or confusion, turning to your Buddhi can bring clarity and insight. It is the inner voice that whispers the truth to you, guiding you towards decisions that are in harmony with your soul’s journey.

Let us learn to still the lower mind and listen to Buddhi and trust in its wisdom and guidance; let us take time to quiet the mind and connect with that higher mind within us. Ask for its guidance and be open to receiving its wisdom. The Buddhi is a powerful ally on our journey towards self-discovery and growth.”

🕊

In the words of an enlightened one: “The intuition is the “knowing faculty” of the intelligent person who—relegating the emotional and feeling nature to its own place, uses the mind as a focussing point and looks out through that lens upon the world of the soul.”
