I was thinking recently of daily actions and where they sometimes lead when caught in a stressful situation with others, and how easy it is to fall into the trap of blaming others for what is occurring.
Holding these thoughts in mind, I found myself being drawn to a particular book on the bookshelf. Opening onto a random page, I discovered an insightful statement about accountability and the laws of karma. It provided good insight on the subject.

“Accountability is a pillar of the new era. The tests and trials of these times are serving to quicken humanity’s maturation from adolescence into adulthood. It is adolescents who blame others for their problems; adults learn to become accountable for their lives.
A sign of spiritual maturity is the willingness to accept the consequences of one’s thoughts, words, and actions—these are powerful energy currents that shape our destinies, individuals and nations. Adulthood begins with acknowledging one’s contribution to a given state of affairs and formulating the intention to take a different path.
This statement will arouse opposition in many perhaps. It is the line of least resistance for people to see themselves as victims of others or of circumstances beyond their control. But the time has come to reveal a deeper truth that will demand a profound adjustment in human perception.
Everything that a person, family, group, or nation experiences while in incarnation is a product of previous energy ‘traces’ left on the etheric plane. The so-called Book of Life which some of us may have heard of is an actual record of etheric substance, known as the Akashic Records, which contain stems of the past, leaves of the present, and seeds of the future.”

The good news, for those who are seeking answers to life’s mounting challenges, is that current world events are the collective effects of all that has happened in the past. We are reaping what we have sown, not as punishment, but as a way of learning, redeeming the past, and transcending the accumulated dross over aeons. When this period of purification ends, and it will at some point, we will find ourselves in a better place and in a better condition.
Events now occurring are leading to revelations. . . to a subtler plane with new systems of law which reveal truths that have been so deeply hidden in the past. To put it simply: A new world of law and order is in the making.
