“The first initiation, through which many are now passing, is the first expansion of consciousness toward the Real—the Life that underlies the world of form.
The first initiation arises from the opening of the heart. There are countless millions of simple people of goodwill across the globe who have little knowledge in a worldly sense, but who are moved by a compassionate heart to care for others. This is interconnectedness at the most basic level: from heart to heart. The builders of the new world will be those who are gravitating toward the marriage of mind and heart. They will be warmed by the flames of Those Enlightened Ones Who will represent the Heart Center of our planet in the creation of the new Earth.
To enter the new era is to enter a higher stage of consciousness. Although the new world will unfold on a subtler plane, it is not a ‘place’ so much as awareness of a greater Light and greater access to that Light.
Perhaps it can be understood as an environment existing on a plane infused with divine Light, which will nurture the light of the human soul to the point of its blending and merging with the Kingdom of Souls.
It is the soul’s light that sparks the realization of the interconnectedness of life, which in turn evokes the aspiration to contribute to a greater good. It is the consciousness of being part of a larger whole that elicits a sense of responsibility for life beyond the isolated self.
This expanded awareness will be the basic building block of life in the new era. Those who pass through the portal to the new world will have realized, at least to some degree, that ‘no man is an island.’ There will be resonance with the principle that whatever serves the common good serves the individual. This is the breakthrough in consciousness that will supply the foundations of a new world.
The reality of interconnectedness is one of the first recognitions achieved by all awakening souls. Because the soul’s awareness first arises within the heart, it is the natural urge of the awakened soul to serve others and this is the major significance of the first initiation. It is also the first stage of the Path that leads the seeker over time and lifetimes into the spiritual kingdom—the kingdom that will be made manifest in the new world of the Aquarian age.”
