The Wesak Full Moon Festival, also known as Vesak or Buddha Purnima, is a significant spiritual event celebrated by Buddhists around the world. It commemorates the birth, enlightenment, and death (parinirvana) of Gautama Buddha. Observed on the full moon day of the lunar month of Vesak (usually in May), the festival involves meditation, prayers, acts of kindness, and symbolic rituals such as the lighting of lamps. In some spiritual traditions, it is also seen as a time of heightened divine energy and direct blessings from the spiritual Hierarchy poured into the Earth for the benefit of humanity. The time of the full moon allows for full impact of these powerful and beneficial energies.
