“This moment for the Earth and all its inhabitants is a moment of agony— and agonizing bewilderment—even for those who have kept faith with the divinity inherent in Life Itself. For all but a few, it is a time of unyielding spiritual darkness, a time when even the subtlest signals of the rebirth of Spirit into the world of matter would seem to recede from view, forsaking those who placed their faith in them. The few rightly sense, however, that the hour of the Coming One is not far off.
The fear and foreboding that besets the race as a whole right now is the prelude to the new dawn. It is a time of testing unlike any other in the entire history of humankind for many reasons, including the magnification of the darkness by the electronic networks spanning the globe. What is not yet seen is the use that will be made of this global net for the distribution of Light when the moment comes. Were you to see what We see, you would be amazed and lifted into a sphere of light evocative of ‘the heavens.’
The difficulty in describing this to you stems from Our inability to depict that which is intangible to units of consciousness that remain embedded in tangible form. The gap remains too great to be bridged by vocabulary currently at Our disposal. So We will again resort to imagery in the hope of sparking the creative imagination. It should arouse in you a sense of the forthcoming world in ways that common language cannot.
Let Us try to show you the new terrain of the new Earth. Those patchwork fields of green and yellow seen from airplane windows will be replaced by fields of brilliant color, of the resplendence of magnificent sunsets magnified many times, but these fields will not be stationery. They will be in motion.
And these fields of color in motion will be accompanied by the vibrations of sound innate to each color and hue that will arouse within the human soul the qualities needed for harmonization with the unfolding plans and purposes of Sanat Kumara (the Lord of our World).
Contrast that image with the destruction of the world by the blindness and avarice of those who currently govern the human race, the majority of whom remain polarized at an early stage of self-awareness. Leaders are buried in the spoils of war waged against the common interests of the people whose lives have been entrusted to their care. In their shared complicity they have given entry and shelter, often unknowingly, to those in the dark brotherhood who work assiduously to subvert the evolutionary Plan of the Planetary Logos. They will speak their last word and drift among the ruins of their own self-undoing before We can externalize fully.
For reasons beyond the scope of these Letters, this stage in human evolution cannot be other than what it is. A multitude of higher purposes are being worked out through the unavoidable wave of destruction affecting the dense physical form of Our planet. As We have said many times, the New Earth— the plane that will be home to the continued evolution of the Soul of Humanity—will necessarily be composed of lighter, finer substance. It will be the place where the ‘millennium of peace’ will unfold, before another great and final ‘war in the heavens’ between the Light and Dark Forces breaks out, enmeshing in it every unit of consciousness that is part of the living stream of this planet.
But there is a long road to travel between now and then. What We are facing just ahead is the divergence of two streams of conscious awareness: one will ascend into a subtler sphere of planetary renewal and rebirth; the other will fall into a state of oblivion for a period of time, during which retribution for karmic debts will have to be endured. During this time, the age of Light will unfold with a minimum of darkness to combat and a maximal influence of the Forces of Light, Beauty, Truth and Goodness.
Thus will the evolution of consciousness proceed with relatively little interference, enabling the flowering of the human Soul before the final ‘war in the heavens’ takes place many kalpas into the future.”
