ALL OF LIFE IS INTENDED FOR THE EXPANSION OF CONSCIOUSNESS.
Points of Revelation = Growth + Realisation
Is there a planned purpose in our collective expansion?
As we GROW UP in the world and play our part in the journey of life, we become aware eventually of a progressive series of awakenings both within and without.
We are born. The majority of us live our early lives within a family unit learning its particular patterns of thought and feeling. We attend school and discover other thought/feeling patterns from our schoolmates and teachers. Eventually we enter the mainstream of adult life equipped with certain psychological tools which create a particular quality of life and point of view. But, apart from the world outside, there are other influences which also mould our view of life and the world around us. These influences come from within and change our views as we grow more sensitive to them and often contradict the outer conditioning in which we have been moulded.
As we grow in and out of these moulds in our day to day living, we begin to observe that the ever-changing consciousness is being forced to expand its repertoire through experience, and in doing so, it learns to harmonise in diverse situations and relationships; this process, of course, is never an easy one as we leave the old and embrace the new. Great changes are taking place all the time, and individual effort is required at each point to understand the movements and energies of the three worlds in which we live, move, and exercise our being. One wonders whether this constant creative process is the actual working out into progressive expression of some higher purpose. We may ask why we are thrown together in this space and time to experience the million and one contradictions that occur so frequently in our collective consciousness? Yet, in spite of these painful contradictions, when we look deep into our neighbour’s heart, and our own, ignoring the hard crust that often surrounds it, we sense a unity with that heart and know in that moment that we are all a part of the one Humanity, and what a wonderful feeling it is!
When we reflect on our individual lives, most would admit that it is nothing less than challenging. We have all been projected into an awesome process called Life – one that seems to be steering towards a greater synthesis… though it may not seem so most of the time! And again, one may ask: a synthesis of what? Perhaps it is a synthesis of the sixty-five billion souls within the human race – 7 billion of which are incarnate in flesh. Is there a planned purpose in the apparent evolutionary drive? And what will be the overall effect of this eventual human synthesis?
Perhaps it will be a world in which love and understanding will outweigh greed and selfishness! One can only dream and work towards it.
We know throughout history that when we disagree strongly among ourselves war breaks out and devastation results. We know also that when any one of us touches for a moment the inspired world of revelation we all benefit enormously. These marvellous insights are snatched, as it were, from a RAINCLOUD OF KNOWABLE THINGS which exists just beyond the ordinary thinking mind. ‘There is an overshadowing and revelatory storehouse of energy which is the immediate cause of all events on earth, ever indicating an emergence of something which is new and better and progressively ‘right’. These KNOWABLE THINGS are the source of all human realisations‘ and lead to a more conscious humanity. Thus speak the wise.
Perhaps the real question is: How may we touch more frequently those energies that lie just beyond the concrete mind and so bring down into the physical realm those gems of revelation that will guide us towards a better world and towards synthesis?
The challenge with which we are all faced at every level is to take the next step forward. That step is always into the unknown. For one person it may mean taking a conscious step towards the RAINCLOUD where revelation awaits. For another it will require the renunciation of a fixed habit of thought/feeling which, when taken, would transmute some unpleasant paradigm under which the consciousness has been subjected for too long! The step, whatever it is, is always personal, and freewill directs the decision at each point. To move forward, or not to move forward: this is the reiterating question.
A most remedial step in consciousness is effected when one considers deeply : “What is the next step forward for me?!”
