BEING, AS OPPOSED TO DOING

‘We need to learn that it is relatively of no importance what we do’. What is of major importance, however, is the conscious registering all the time of exactly what we are doing.

Right doing is the result of right being. Right being is dependent on accurate self-observation. If the awareness of being is of a personality nature so will be the quality of our activity. It will be superficial. If awareness is focussed, however, on a deeper level of being, where motive is pure and true, outer activity becomes natural, more spontaneous and creative, and our response to the events of life changes from that of personality reaction to soul radiation.
