HUBRIS: Excessive Pride or Over-confidence

‘Hubris can enter in when a person is convinced

that he or she knows much more than other human beings

and is therefore superior’.

Human knowledge, no matter how brilliant,

must ever be co-measured with Higher Knowledge.

This requires one to recognize the reality and existence

of That Which ever stands above human mentality.

It is just there,

between feeling superior to humanity as a whole

and being humble with regard to Higher Knowledge,

that a new ‘field of experience’ is possible.

In most groups today composed of human beings and human consciousness

with no active involvement with Higher Knowledge

and no genuine sensitivity to higher impression,

the clash of personalities and ideas is unavoidable.

This is seen throughout the world at present,

even among groups seeking the highest good in their particular field of expertise;

they make small impact on the world.

The next stage in human evolution

will depend upon a mutual acknowledgment by humanity

of a Higher Force or God,

(Call it what you like!)

who is the driving force behind all of creation

and the mover of the wheels of evolution.

If this acknowledgment were to come in time,

it could still possibly save humanity from itself.

Without it, power struggles will continue to devastate humanity,

as they do,

spreading carnage throughout the lands and decimating life across the planet.

Will the human race, as a collective whole, rise to meet the occasion?
