Here’s a clear and simple message from a Wise one who understands very well the ingrained tendencies of human nature. She speaks of stubbornness, a quality with which we are all familiar, I’m sure. Hear her words and consider carefully . . .
🦅
“Stubbornness is the habit of closing the mind and intuition, the ears and eyes to the messages that we (the enlightened Ones) are attempting to use in many ways to guide you. . . and still you persist with old habits when our guidance is telling you to cease or change direction.
Stubbornness is the tendency to cling to old rules, ideas, and old teachings, when it is appropriate to consider new rules, ideas, and new teachings. Stubbornness is not knowing when it is time to let go and change.
If you keep your eyes on the horizon and your awareness open, there is less likely the tendency to be blindly obstinate.”
🦅
Stubbornness: A dead set determination not to change one’s attitude or position on anything. Does this sound familiar? Always keep a close watch on the mind and its hollow habits, and allow yourself the opportunity to shift into what lies just beyond the dogged concrete mind when occasion arises. This is particularly needed now in these dire times.
