A heartfelt poem from a dear friend . . .

WHY DO I HAVE HOPE
Why do I have hope
For a better world
When wars and conflict
Challenge our peace?
Why do I believe in love and light,
Sharing and deliverance
When darkness and deprivation
Dull the human mind?
Why do I believe that one day
Men, women and children
Will not suffer with disease
But instead have wellbeing?
I believe because the Creative Force
Sustains and restores my faith
That the time is soon to come
When wrongs will be made right.
I believe because the air we breathe
Is full of radiant light
To heal and make well,
Like a diamond in the sky.
I have hope when I see the seeds of good
In acts of kindness.
And I have faith in the ability
To overcome the doubts.
Heavenly Father, lover of mankind,
We dwell within your heart of love.
Poised between two worlds
The high road will be My Way.
