He went to the Emirates… but he did not go alone… he took his mother with him… And here, the Emirates understood the message before it was spoken.
The President’s mother sat with Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak… who is known in the Gulf not merely by an official title… but as the “Mother of the Emiratis”…
In the East… sometimes a single image of mothers can achieve what dozens of political meetings cannot.
Now look what came back with this visit:
- The return of Issam Al-Buwaidani.
- Huge Emirates economic delegations in Damascus.
- Open talk about billions of dollars investments.
- Clear political support for Syria’s path to stability.
And then came the deeper message…
Sheikh Fatima is responsible for financing the restoration of the Amwi Mosque and the surrounding area in its entirety…
And here we’re not just talking about “project construction”…
But about a very important symbolic message…
Because the Umayyad Mosque is not just a mosque…
But the memory of Damascus… And one of the most important civilized and religious symbols in the entire region…
This is not a visit .. This is professional foreign policy we’ve always talked about… The President translates it intelligently!!
